Enable location access

UWAYS needs "Always" location access so dispatchers can track your position in real time, even when the app is in the background.

Location not updating

If your location stops updating or dispatchers cannot see your position, try the following steps:

• On iPhone: check that Location is set to "Always" and enable Background App Refresh in Settings, then General
• On Android: check that Location is set to "Allow all the time" and disable battery optimization for Uways
• Restart the Uways app

Why location matters

UWAYS uses background location tracking so dispatchers can see where you are in real time. This helps them assign you the closest available jobs and gives passengers accurate arrival estimates. Without it, dispatchers cannot see your position, which means fewer job assignments and missed ride opportunities.

App Troubleshooting

The app will not open

Take a breath, this one is almost always easy to fix. If the app closes right away or never gets past the logo, work through these steps in order:

1. Make sure you are on the latest version. Open the App Store or Google Play, search for UWAYS, and tap Update if you see it
2. Restart your phone
3. Check your internet connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data
4. If the app still will not open, delete it and install it again from the store, then log back in

Your account, jobs, and messages are stored securely on our servers, so you will not lose anything by reinstalling the app. And if none of this works, message us and we will dig into it with you.

Stuck on the loading screen

• Force close the app and open it again
• Check your internet connection
• Update to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play
• If the problem continues, delete the app, install it again, and log back in

Not receiving notifications

• On iPhone: open Settings, tap Uways, tap Notifications, and make sure Allow Notifications is on
• On Android: open Settings, go to Apps, tap Uways, tap Notifications, and make sure they are enabled
• Make sure you are logged in to your account
• Restart the app after changing any settings

App Troubleshooting

Cannot log in

• Double check your email and password for typos
• Use the Reset Password option on the login screen to set a new password
• Check your internet connection and try again
• If you still cannot log in, contact our support team and we will look into your account
